I’ve always loved experimenting with new looks whenever I travel. For me, dressing up according to the vibe of a place brings so much joy! It’s like paying tribute to the destination I’m visiting. Honestly, planning my travel outfits is one of the most exciting parts of the whole experience. I get to think about which jewellery to wear, what vibe I want to carry, and the overall look I have in mind—it’s a fun little list that keeps growing!
In this blog, I’ll be sharing my favourite Goa aesthetics, along with some tips to help you channel the essence of Goa through your wardrobe. When it comes to planning a trip to Goa, I can’t help but get extra excited about embracing my favourite bohemian style. I picture myself with a stack of rings on my fingers, fringes flowing all around, and colourful, flowy shrugs. Oh, and let’s not forget the hair beads! Ah, I just love it! It feels so liberating and perfectly fits the laid-back, colourful essence of Goa.
Whether you’re into bohemian vibes, colourful prints, or breezy beachwear, I’ve got you covered!
My Favourite Goa Aesthetics: Boho Fashion
Let me start with my favourite vibe- bohemian! When it comes to boho fashion, I love going for loose-fitting, oversized kimonos or shrugs with a flowy silhouette. They add a unique and playful charm to any outfit. You can easily pair them with shorts, denim, or even a cute dress, and voila! You’re all set to hit the beach or explore the town.
When it comes to achieving that effortless Goa aesthetics, one of my absolute favorite pieces to pack is a flowy beach overall. These stylish overalls are not only comfortable but also super versatile. They can easily be an alternative to traditional sarongs, and they double as a chic dress when styled right!
I love looking for overalls with abstract /geometric /indie prints. These eye-catching patterns add a fun, bohemian vibe to my beach wardrobe!
If you’re someone who loves vibrant colours, go for pops of colour to complete the look. Bright hues can really elevate your style and give you that fun, carefree vibe that’s perfect for Goa. Trust me, you’ll feel amazing!
You can find some great shrugs online at Urbanic, Zara, or from the local shops in Goa itself! When you’re shopping, keep an eye out for bold prints and colour-block styles that really match your vibe.
Next up, let’s talk about off-shoulder tops! These are super popular and perfect for those easy-breezy days in Goa. They have a fun, relaxed vibe that’s just right for a casual outing. You can wear them with shorts or culottes, pair them with a bohemian laced bralette underneath and just like that, you’re ready to enjoy the day!
I wore this look while exploring the stunning Cabo de Rama Cliff, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The effortless vibe of the off-shoulder style, combined with the intricate lace peeking out, adds just the right touch of flair. Just look at this picture—it captures the essence of my Goa aesthetics perfectly!
Complete Your Goa Aesthetics: Essential Accessories
The most important part- accessories! I can’t stress enough how much I love to accessorize my outfits. They can completely transform your look in seconds!
I’m personally a big fan of decorating my hands, so I always look for stacks of rings, preferably in metal, featuring unique symbols and designs. My go-to colour is turquoise, which adds a lovely twist to my monochrome rings. I suggest going for bold, funky designs for your rings, along with some minimalist pieces to balance it out.
While these rings are easily available online on sites like Amazon and Myntra, I also suggest exploring the local markets in Goa for some unique designs.
Don’t forget to add neckpieces to your outfit, and I recommend layering them for that extra flair! Look for charms that symbolize the beach, sun—pieces that inspire you and resonate with your vibe.Alternatively, you can also opt for bold and heavy metal necklaces or go for beaded ones made with feathers or shell chokers. These accessories really give you an authentic beach look and elevate your style to a whole new level.
Do you accessorize your hair? 😍I love wrapping up a bandana or scarf, or using hair beading when I leave my hair open. Recently, I tried a flower headband, and it turned out beautifully! With the lush monsoon backdrop, wearing that tiara made me feel like a fairy.
When it comes to footwear, it’s all about keeping it comfy yet stylish! While neutral shades are great because they go with everything, I also love adding some pop slides for a bold look at the beach. They’re perfect for showing off my pedicure and really add a fun touch to my outfit.
Similarly, when it comes to bags, I like to either carry jute beach bags that fit all my stuff or some cute boho sling bags with fringes to enhance that laid-back vibe. This year, I decided to experiment with bold colours to complement my outfits, and it’s been so much fun!
Ink It Up
If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo but are feeling a bit scared like I was, I have a wonderful suggestion for you! Consider going for temporary, white-coloured tattoos. They’re super easy to use and can be found online at pocket-friendly prices. I wore them on my feet and my arm, and they looked amazing! They really give off that boho vibe. Trust me, you’ll love how they look! They usually have a lifespan of about 4-5 days if you take good care of them. Just make sure to avoid scrubbing the area too hard when you wash and try to keep them dry for as long as possible.
I hope you found these tips and the pictures useful! Remember, it’s not just about the outfits; it’s about feeling confident and comfortable while exploring all that this stunning destination has to offer. So, go ahead, mix and match, and make each look your own. If you decide to create any of these looks, I’d love to see how you style them. Don’t forget to send me a picture—I’d be thrilled to see you all playing dress-up!
